inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame
In 1995,
Patrick Matthews received the SHODAN rank from Shihan DiRico. Two years
later, in 1997, he received the NIDAN rank from Shihan DiRico and Shihan
Lynn. Earned the rank of Sandan June 3rd 2001. Was awarded the title of
Renshi November 2003. Patrick was the unarmed combat instructor for C
CO. 181 Infantry. Patrick has set up and runs after school karate programs
in Medford and surrounding areas.
Patrick
Matthews has competed in several tournaments throughout his Martial Arts
career. He has competed in New England and in Florida. Some of his accomplishments
